Dashboards V2: New look, cell comparisons, embeds and more

Dashboards V1 won Product Hunt's Product of the Day and Golden Kitty for Data & Security products.

Since then, we've been keenly listening to your feedback. Dashboards V2 is all about addressing your top-voted requests. Below is the full summary of what's new and improved, but first, here's a live demo from Bobby.

Enjoy a fresh new look and feel

The first thing you'll notice is a fresh new look and feel. There's a ton of detail here, but most notably you'll see:

  • A new background color to improve contrast and help the data on your dashboards stand out

  • Increased border radius on cells, charts and tables to make your reports easier on the eyes

  • The ability to add height-adjustable spacers to delineate sections and aid flow

Add recently updated chart styles and new tables (see below); your dashboards have never looked so good.

Contextualize cells with comparisons

Enable Show comparison to select another cell to compare against in relative or absolute terms. This is particularly handy when you're reporting on KPIs over different periods.

Fine-tune tables

Tables get an extreme makeover. They look more polished and have many new formatting options, so you can style them to suit the presented data. You can now:

  • Add a header row and/or column to bold its contents, add a light background, and keep it fixed on scroll

  • Choose to alternate shading on rows and/or columns to improve the legibility of large tables

  • Resize tables while maintaining the column width ratios of the original table

  • Hide grids for a cleaner appearance

Resize with precision

No more guessing when trying to match the heights and widths of charts, tables, paragraphs, and spacers. A dynamic size indicator appears so you can ensure objects are the exact size you want them to be.

Height and width measurements are calculated based on the number of dots on the underlying grid that appears when a dashboard is being edited.

Customize AI Summaries

Write custom instructions to get AI Summaries of your charts and tables in any way you like. And change the length to suit your reporting needs – Short, Medium, or Long.

Format text with Markdown

Build more dynamic dashboards by referencing cells inline and bolding, italicizing, listing, and hyperlinking text.

Embed in Notion, Coda, and more

If your dashboard is shared with Anyone with the link, you can embed it in other tools that support iframes, e.g., Notion and Coda. Simply grab the link from your dashboard's Publish panel and copy it to your clipboard. Then, in Notion, use the / command to search for Embed link before pasting the link from your clipboard.
